AUTS: Farewell..

It's my last day at the office today and I'm so glad about it. I don't know why but I think I'm really not happy with myself being here that's why kung tatanungin nyo ko, super excited talaga akong umalis. Maybe you can include the excitement I feel that Rhy and I will see each other tomorrow already.

And because of that, I took this photo of mine.. Ang arte2 ko lang today. :) Last day eh.

PD♥: There will come a time..

Sorry guys, I just have to blog my excitement for today. Only three days left until I see the person whom I missed the most these past few days. Pagbigyan nyo na ako mga teh. Hahah!! If I can just draw my face, it will probably look like this (♥_♥) Lols.

In my Instagram Account (Follow me @engrspicylover), I posted this picture of ours...

PD♥: Going Sixth and Stronger...

Last Sunday night, Rhy and I were asking ourselves on what to do on our 6th anniversary on the 24th. Yes! We have been a couple for already six years now and so you can expect us to have been through a lot already -  countless LQs and romantic make-ups after each fight, numerous exchange of sweet and harsh messages, sharing laughters and problems that strengthen us as a couple and the mere simplicity of just being with each other while on the highs and lows of our relationship. Here comes the dilemma of what to do for this guy without spending too much yet will make him feel special in a way. It occurred to me that we won't be spending our special day with each other. We are on basically two different countries and are three-and-a-half-hours flight apart.

AUTS: Thank you Merlion.. Until Next Time

I could still remember 11th of March last year, Carl, Rhy and I were very nervous to pass through the NAIA Terminal 3 Immigrations. Lucky enough, the IO just asked if I am working on one of the projects advertised on the said terminal. Whew! Ang hirap magpretend pero super easy ng tanong niya and dahil sa kaba, hindi ko man lang naisipang pansinin ang mga ads na sinasabi nya. Haha!! That time, I have resigned already from DMCI and Carl and I are planning to go here in Singapore to hunt for a job. And it would definitely be not a good idea to tell the IO the truth. Sorry Lord for lying. And that's the start of me being a part of the OFW family.

PD♥: The Hunt of the Perfect Anniversary Song

This week I have been quite busy on a very special thing - something to give Rhy on our anniversary this Sunday. OMG! Only four more days to go and I'm still confused on what to do! When it comes to romantic celebrations like this, my mind is clouded with a lot of things I want to do or give to him and it normally ends up with a vacation or a dinner date c/o him. Oops, Rhy will go here for vacation at the end of the month and that would mean I really need something to do! Maiba naman... I need to think!

Last year we had a pre-anniversary celebration here at Singapore and Malaysia before I started my job-hunting. We arrived here at Singapore March 11 and went to various tourist spots here in SG - Sentosa, Marina Bay, Vivo City. We spent two days enjoying our moments together at the Lion City. On the 13th of March we went for a day tour at Malaysia just to see the iconic Petronas Twin Towers and took our picture there. The next day, he went back already and it was the start of our long distance relationship.. And that was how we spent our fifth anniversary - with a romantic vacation but with a sad ending. Koreanovela lang. Haha! Here we were last year..

BTB: Sephora Plus Just Acia!

Last Sunday, I just broke my usual stuff of blogging and jogging. Instead, I gave in to the temptations of food and went out with my friends.

Audi, Carl, Shandz and I met up early morning to head to Mustafa Centre to accompany Marc's family to buy souvenirs before their flight back home. Marc wasn't able to come because there was an unfortunate event where he was held in SG immigration so he was not able to go here in SG with his family. Of course being the close friends of Marc, we decided to accompany his mom along with his brother and sisters to shop for souvenirs. By the way, Mustafa Centre is a 24-hour mall or better yet, a huge department store located near the Farrer Park MRT in Singapore. Inside are a lot of very cheap items like fragrances, clothes, chocolates and other food items. They bought a lot of chocolates there. Oh sweets! Tempting!

AUTS: Can't Wait To Get My Hands on a Chickenjoy

"Ouch", I said to myself as I tweezed the last hair on my eyebrows that needs to be plucked. Shaping my eyebrows had to be the hardest thing that I have to maintain doing in my face. Sometimes you can see my eyebrows high and thin while sometimes it would just be the normal thick eyebrows where people may want to just pull out their tweezers and start shaping and plucking the messy hair on the top of my eyes.

I woke up 9AM this morning with low hopes of going to the newly opened branch of Jollibee here in Singapore. Of course, almost every OFW, especially those who haven't been back home for the longest time, would want to eat in this famous fast food chain in our country. I'm hungry and so are my housemates and travelling by bus for an hour to Lucky Plaza and queueing up for almost an hour or two to order our favorite Chickenjoy for breakfast would certainly be not a good idea! To hear out our grumbling tummies, we opted for a quick-to-cook breakfast - sunny side up eggs, tuna with tomatoes, fried tuyo and rice - and an added cup of coffee just completed our meals.

AUTS: Why Butter is Better?

This morning, I woke up to my 7:15AM alarm with my usual.. This one is for the boys with the boomin' system. Top down, AC with the coolin' system. When he come up in the club, he be blazin' up.. And before the 1st stanza of the song ended, I woke up and killed my Super Bass alarm tone! Thank God it's Friday but I decided to sleep for another 15 minutes. "Chige teh!", I murmured to my bedmate in agreement to continue sleeping and just take the second trip of our company's shuttle.

I woke up 15 minutes later, arranged my pillows, folded my duvet, walked to the door half asleep, opened it and went to the kitchen. I searched for my tumbler in the refrigerator and drank water in gulps. I heard this from Mo Twister that drinking a glass of cold water right after you wake up can give you a great kick start in the morning. Another benefit which I found on FitDay is that it helps speed up your metabolism. Great! Now I'm wide awake!

AUTS: Writing and Reading then Playing...

If I am about to fill-up a slam book today - like the ones we used to do when we were just a bunch of kids in their elementary years - and I am faced with the question, "What is your hobby?", then I would be probably putting there the mere title of this blog article.

Came the start of this year (I meant to follow the year of the Chinese Calendar and you know why...), we were already doing nothing at work. Literally and actually!!! I don't know if it's the hangover of the new year holidays but as of today, it has been nearing a month of just sitting at my chair, lighting up my PC, opening an Excel worksheet (pretending to be editing it), eating my lunch, then facing the PC again but in the afternoon fighting the sleepy environment, surfing the net once in a while, reading and responding to some messages via Whatsapp, texting my boyfriend sweet quotes, going to the toilet when you feel like sleeping and then when it is already 5:20-5:30PM, I pack up my things fast and rush to the door and board our company's shuttle. That's how my day begins and ends at the office for already a month! OMG! I must have been developing my patience and ironically putting my brain cells to use. Am I happy? Of course, I am! There might be a great number of people complaining about a lot of work and getting stressed while I'm here pretending to do something out of nothing.

FB: Click! Clique! Capture!

Working in Singapore where almost all locals are Chinese, we also get to experience the very first long vacation of the year which is the celebration of the Chinese New Year. Most of the offices here are closed during the week of the new year but unlike ours, the locals here does not stay for the holidays, instead, they fly and go to other countries to enjoy the weeklong vacation.

February 11 and 12 were proclaimed legal holidays. Just to maximize the vacation, I filed a three-day paid leave from the 13th to the 15th and I treated the weekends as a bonus leave! Of course, as an OFW, instead of booking a flight going elsewhere, I booked a flight back home, to be reunited with my family and simply enjoy the vacation with them.

Post Its

Just to organize my blog entries, I have came up with a list of catchy titles to begin with. I have been thinking of these for a long time already and at last, here they are. As I progress in the blogging industry, saka ko na isipin yung iba! lols!

These would be the start of each title and the categories to which they will be referring to:

FB - Nothing which relates to the social network, Facebook but would rather refer to blog articles about our family bonding. I often go out with my family so I wanted to blog anything about escapades, funny conversations or simply articles worth sharing about my family.

PD♥  - This, on the other hand will include blog articles relating to my lovelife. It simply means Popsy Day or Public Display of Love (haha! just so corny!) but I just love to begin with that because I just thought it to be so sweet during the days I am with him. It would include romantic activities, travels, kulitan moments, and all other stuff that I wanted to document while we are still on the bf-gf stage. (Just something to read and look back when we are already married. haha! Iniisip ko palang, kilig much na.)

BTB - Barkada Trips and Bonding! I will tackle the adventures and misadventures of our group when we gather, eat, drink and bond. ^_^

Petstablog - You got it right! I'm also gonna give a space to my lovely pets! I just love my dogs and I can't wait to blog about them. :)

AUTS - Other things that will not fall under any of the four mentioned above will fall under AUTS which simply means Anything Under The Sun. This would be where I will tackle my experiences, be it personal or career, my growing up years, my lifelong journey.. literally, AUTS!

There you go guys! I'll be organizing my blogs from now on. Hahaha! Mwah!

AUTS: Having Fun Being on the Twenty Sixth

I know this is a very late post. My birthday was waaayy due last two months ago. Forgive me for that as I just had the time to write and post my blog articles lately...

I am very happy and blessed to have stepped on the late 20s range of age. I have been working for almost five years already but still no plans of what to do with my life. Yes! I can still say that I have not had enough yet of myself being single. I still wanted to enjoy my life being unmarried but of course I enjoy it best with my special someone who gives colors to my life. Diba? Who doesn't want a companion in these years of their life? Maybe I will be one of those people who will live by the saying, "Life really begins at 30."

FB: Sinulog Festival 2013 (Pit Senyor Celebration)

Happy New Year to all my fellow bloggers and blog readers. It is now the start of a new year and I am very blessed to have survived another year of my life.

I welcome 2013, "The Year of the Water Snake" with wide arms and full of hope. There are many things to celebrate this January, not only the new year but also my birthday and the Sinulog Festival in Cebu.

I started to be a patron just last 2008 when I passed the board exam with awards. My family and I would go here every year just to attend the Sinulog festival. It is our way of thanking God for our blessings and achievements for the previous year and also asking for guidance for the new year.

This year was different from the previous years due to the fact that it would be my first time not travelling with them. It was my first time to fly from Singapore to Cebu. It was an early flight. Plane left around 1am and I arrived at the Mactan Airport around 4am. Rhy's flight was next to arrive. His departure from Manila was 4am and he arrived around 530am. Later did we realized that it was not a good idea to arrive there early in the morning during a festival. Aside from the fact that the hotels were fully booked, the reservation in our hotel was not due until the check in time for that day which is 2pm. Imagine with all the big bags and jetlag we are having, we needed to find a place to rest and place our luggage. Good thing I booked my family on a 130PM flight so that they are just on time for the check-in time of their hotel.

PD♥: Hong Kong (3D2N Itinerary) - 3rd and Last Day

Here it is guys.. the much awaited last day itinerary of our HK trip. (Much awaited kasi ang tagal ko maipublish.. lols!) And because it’s the last, we wanted it to be the best! Of course, our HK trip wouldn't be complete if we won't visit the famous Disneyland. Ever since I was a kid, I already dreamt of going to the castles of Disneyland. Mafeel ko man lang makaapak sa palasyo and see a prince and princess. And today, my dream came true! :)

Tired from yesterday's cable car tour, we slept for almost 9 hours or so. When we woke up, the first thing I did was to arrange the souvenir items we bought last night. Pinagkasya ko talaga sila sa mga bag namin so that we won't be charged with excess baggage. And also, I separated a bag for other pasalubong items that we are just going to buy that day.
Nov 13 (Tue)
10:00 AM - Went to the nearest Times Square to eat breakfast and shop for chocolates and local food. The name of their grocery store is City Super which can be found at the basement level of the mall. They have some local food and chocolates but not that cheap. We were looking for a version of Value Dollar like here in SG but we still need to go far. Because we are running out of time, we just picked some junk food from the best seller items, their version of dark coffee and some chocolates. We spent our remaining budget for pasalubong items and after that we went back to the hotel to check out.

PD♥: Hong Kong (3D2N Itinerary) - 2nd Day

As promised, here is what we did on our 2nd day at HK.

Having been so tired of our exciting first day at HK, we still managed to sleep for 8 hours (Got home the previous night at around 12am then wash then ayun plakda!). We woke up around 9am the following morning so we really have enough energy to tour around and enjoy another day.

Nov 12 (Mon)

9:00 AM - Woke up and prepared for our cable car tour. We wanted our tour to be spontaneous so once we went out of the hotel, we make sure we won't be back until we finished our day's itinerary and from here, the tour begins.

10:30 AM - Went to Times Square for our brekky. We just passed by a cafeteria then ate something and off we left to our first destination. Times Square is the nearest mall from our hotel (around 10-15 minutes walk only).

PD♥: Hong Kong (3D2N Itinerary) - 1st day

Sorry for having delayed this blog article for a long time. It's just now that I have the time to compile my blogs and start blogging what happened to me these past few months...

Having worked as an OFW for quite some time now and having saved some money from my pay, I think I deserve to have a vacation at Hong Kong with Popsy. We make it a point na it would fall on a special occassion so we decided to have it on his birthday (Sosyal ang lolo nyo.. birthday sa HK ang peg..)

Because it was our first time to go to a far, far away land, we made it a point that we can go and have pictures to almost all of the tourist spots (Paguran ang peg namin mga teh, Disneyland at Ocean Park palang tig-isang araw na dapat...). At dahil excited and first time ko, masipag kong ginawa ang aming itinerary. By masipag, I mean everyday nirerevise ko ang aming itineraries so that I can fit all places and maximize our budget (take note: nakailang revise ako sa itinerary - first by duration na ilalaan sa place then by price and lastly by location). In doing itineraries, I see to it na mapupuntahan muna namin all the places that are near the hotel, then palayo ng palayo. Good thing the places there were reachable thru MTR (the name they call their trains) and our hotel has this shuttle to the nearest MTR station so we really had no problem with transportation.

So here is our 3D2N Itinerary (This itinerary is for those who don't have their kids with them or those who wanted to squeeze the best tourist spots in HK for a 3-day stay). I'll show later the breakdown of costs that we got to spend in our stay.

Because I got to allot some days off before our HK tour, we started our trip from Manila and not from SG, where I am currently working.
