Working in Singapore where almost all locals are Chinese, we also get to experience the very first long vacation of the year which is the celebration of the Chinese New Year. Most of the offices here are closed during the week of the new year but unlike ours, the locals here does not stay for the holidays, instead, they fly and go to other countries to enjoy the weeklong vacation.

February 11 and 12 were proclaimed legal holidays. Just to maximize the vacation, I filed a three-day paid leave from the 13th to the 15th and I treated the weekends as a bonus leave! Of course, as an OFW, instead of booking a flight going elsewhere, I booked a flight back home, to be reunited with my family and simply enjoy the vacation with them.

We normally go to the "Philippines' Second Summer Capital"  - TAGAYTAY - and just relax and enjoy the cold shivering wind. ^_^ After a long drive, we first stopped by at the Summit Ridge and of course while we're there, we took some photos which we are really fond of doing. :)

Men..

Me..

And the sweetest couple we were with.. :)
After taking a short break at the Summit Ridge, we searched for the way to the talked about Sonya's Garden. I always hear that this place is so romantic so we wanted to bring my mom and dad there. Rhy didn't come with us because he is at work so pinagkaabalahan kong iphotoshoot ang couple na kasama namin. True to the hearsays, Sonya's Garden is a big garden with some romantic decorations placed everywhere. There are benches with curtains which is ideal for couples who wanted to have their picture taken, the various water features with rose petals, the colorful flowers of the trees in pink and red and so much more! We were really amazed so we took pictures here and there.. Of course the timer mode of my camera was really useful.

Couples should take a picture on this bench and share a kiss!!! How romantic..

Love with the complicated vines on her back.

A quick pose on the Morning Glory signage.

Some kulitan photos of Us Girls. Thanks to Timer :)

And before we left, he posed at the main entrance.
By the way, don't leave Sonya's Garden without visiting their Panaderia and buying some bread. Almost all of their products there were really delicious. We bought a pack of Spanish Bread, Cheese Bread and Hopia. Sayang hindi na mainit nung pumunta kami but still it was delicious. Their products were a bit pricey but I assure you that they are worth it! Mabilis ubusin because it was yummy! A pack of 6 10 pieces of Spanish Bread was I think Php 120.00.

We haven't had our lunch yet so we drove back to Magallanes to eat at Antonio's Grill. Because we were there on a weekday afternoon, we were the only customers so the service was really fast. We ate in no time.

Me holding the menu..

Love with her ripe mango shake.

Their delicious ensaladang mangga. I missed this!

And a hot bowl of Bulalo to complement the cold weather
After finishing our late lunch, we strolled and enjoyed the view of the Taal Lake. We simply had fun and captured every smile and laughs while taking turns in clicking the camera.

With the big bear..

Having fun, we haven't noticed the time! When we realized that the sunset will be due in a few minutes, we decided to go back and stop by at Nuvali and enjoy a view of the sunset. We arrived earlier than expected, maybe because it was not yet rush hour and the traffic was still light.

While waiting for the sun to set, I asked my mom and dad to pose for a shot but instead this turned out to be a funny conversation:

Me: Uy, picture kayo. Maganda yung view.

Dad: Ma, picture daw oh! (Dad asking mom to pose while mom is asking dad what time it is)

Dad: Ma, kiss!

Mom: Kiss kaagad? (Hahaha!!! Doing a clap of a hand)

Dad: Ayan, ayaw mo kasi! (Lols!)

OMG! Ang sweet!!! Nilanggam ako. Haha!!! I just really admire them because they're just very sweet even though they have been living together for 25 years already. I just hope Rhy will be as this sweet to me when we reach their age. *_*

And soon we enjoyed capturing every moment while the sun was setting.

A beautiful sunset.

Saw this and posed for a quick shot.

Then we headed to Starbucks to chill and drink our favorite frappes.

Finishing our drinks, we drove back home. By the time we arrived, we were all very tired but thinking about all we did - bond, laugh, eat, pose, stroll - we slept with a smile on our faces.
