AUTS: Writing and Reading then Playing...

If I am about to fill-up a slam book today - like the ones we used to do when we were just a bunch of kids in their elementary years - and I am faced with the question, "What is your hobby?", then I would be probably putting there the mere title of this blog article.

Came the start of this year (I meant to follow the year of the Chinese Calendar and you know why...), we were already doing nothing at work. Literally and actually!!! I don't know if it's the hangover of the new year holidays but as of today, it has been nearing a month of just sitting at my chair, lighting up my PC, opening an Excel worksheet (pretending to be editing it), eating my lunch, then facing the PC again but in the afternoon fighting the sleepy environment, surfing the net once in a while, reading and responding to some messages via Whatsapp, texting my boyfriend sweet quotes, going to the toilet when you feel like sleeping and then when it is already 5:20-5:30PM, I pack up my things fast and rush to the door and board our company's shuttle. That's how my day begins and ends at the office for already a month! OMG! I must have been developing my patience and ironically putting my brain cells to use. Am I happy? Of course, I am! There might be a great number of people complaining about a lot of work and getting stressed while I'm here pretending to do something out of nothing.


Actually, it's not about the work I am referring to in this blog article but the hobbies I get to explore while I am pretending to be working at the office. I am the type of person that is not used to do nothing. But if you find me literally resting and slouching on a chair, maybe I am not in the mood or I am just too tired to do anything, but not that I want to do nothing. Confused? Read more.

If you normally visit my blogsite, it was just last month that I updated my blog and was hooked into writing. Just to kill the time just sitting on my black office chair, I thought of writing blogs instead. At least I am not wasting my time making eye contact with my personal computer or straining my eyes just staring at its screen. When I finish an article or not in the mood to write, that's the time I go and read stuffs.

Just last December, I was very addicted reading the famous Fifty Shades series written by a British author, E L James.

The three books, filed as an erotic novel, really caught the attention of many lady readers. Count me for the statistics! Fictional as it is, I was still carried away with the beautiful and romantic storyline between a rich bachelor and a school girl. I finished the books January this year. And now, having finished the trilogy and plainly killing the boredom I feel at the office, I searched for another romantic book series. While reading the Fifty Shades of Grey article at Wikipedia, it led me to the Gabriel Series which I found at the bottom part of the page which was referred by the "See Also" category. Of course, I wanted a new paperback to read so I went and searched for the book. Fortunately, I found a copy but hesitated at first because at the moment, there were only two books released.

The two books were written by Canadian author who was only known through his pen name as Sylvain Reynard. In his website, he releases a teaser of the third book but still no word as to when is the release date of the coming book. I hope it will be released soon because I already finished the two books and I am too excited to read the third one! Like the Fifty Shades series, this one is a more realistic book with the forbidden relationship of a professor and a school girl. This one, like the former, is also filed as an erotic novel but less of the intimate scenes but more of the love story and relationship.

Of course, another one which I am reading now is the other book in the "See Also" section in the Wikipedia Pages of Fifty Shades of Grey and Gabriel's Inferno which is entitled, Beautiful Bastard. The latter was written by an author with the pen name, Christina Lauren. I am starting to enjoy this book but then note that this is not a series so the fun in reading it will be over as soon as I've finished reading it so by then I hope the third book of the Gabriel series will be released. Similar to the above-mentioned book series, Beautiful Bastard is a romantic novel of a school girl who worked as an intern to his boss and later had a relationship with him.

Apart from writing on my blog site and reading books, I also find time playing mobile games on my cellphone. At home you will catch me holding my phone and playing the two most downloaded games at the Android market which are Candy Crush Saga and 4Pics1Word.

I love both the games especially the latter because I get to think about the similarity of the 4 pictures and guess the word.

And that's just about it, I already got some stuff to do at the office and that includes writing, reading and sometimes, playing when bored and sleepy. Tata! :) XO!
