AUTS: Snap In a Box

Last, January 30, 2012, everyone is very excited to celebrate the topping-off celebration of Iris Tower of Tivoli Garden Residences (the 4th building yet the tallest one) Hurray!!! Clap! Clap! Clap!. I'm proud to be a  part of its Construction Engineering Team (yes, may ganito pala kami) kaya nakiisa rin ako sa celebration kahapon. Here is the link to our project.. tivoligardenresidences.net

It's not the usual topping-off celebration. Parusa muna bago biyaya ang peg namin kahapon. If you are a proud alumni of DMCI-PDI or soon to be an alumnus (uso ang pagiging alumni, promise!), kilala nyo si KUYA. Like the PBB, kami ay parang nasa bahay rin ni Kuya. We don't have CCTV cameras na nkatutok samin 24/7 pero we have tasks na kahit impossible to do ay DAPAT, in english, MUST kayanin kung hindi we have consequences to take, in short BOLJAK!!!



Boljak - Verb. Tagalog. An act given by Kuya when he is not satisfied with what he is seeing. This is an act due to anger and madness and it's as if he is going to fire you at the moment. Usually observed when Kuya is shouting at you (maximum decibel that your ear can withstand) and telling you harsh words in front of the many people surrounding you.

Example: At the moment, kung ikaw ang binoBOLJAK, gusto mo nalang maglaho na parang bula, magpaflush sa toilet o kaya maghanap ng invisible cloak ni Harry Potter at magtalukbong habang andun ka.

Back to topic, sorry for the English Class interruption. Kailangan natin magtake ng mga define-the-word lessons for the meantime to ensure na naiintindihan nyo what I really mean. So ayun it took us 1 hour and 30 minutes to take the steps that Kuya took (as in literal na sumusunod kami sa yapak nya). Parang bodyguards ang peg namin pag walkthru. Kung saan niya like pumunta, gora rin kami. And kailangan, you pay attention as to what he is pointing at and telling you kc boljak ka everytime wala ka sa sarili mo. Dapat boyscout/girlscout ka when he is around. Ika nga, live by the saying, "Laging handa!"

So after the walkthru, all I remembered was he asked, "Oh, saan na ung kainan? tara na." Bongga! I like this side of Kuya. He's like a gemini na after being mad eh biglang magshishift ang mood for a celebration. Hindi siya yung talagang KJ. Of course noh, all his superfriends are there.. Magiinarte pa ba xa nun?? Duh!

And naman, kakain na ang mahal ninyong lingkod. I'm not kinda hungry kasi kumain rin ako nung lunch. So having dinner at 5pm, hndi pa talaga ako gutom. So I decided na eto nlang ang ilagay ko sa plate para naman mkakain pa yung iba ng marami..

Oh diba, ang konti lang ng rice ko.. Ayaw ko tumaba noh., chos!

And of course, the highlight of the topping-off celebration is we got a 2-hr unlimited photobooth service for only 5,500. And dahil we're happy with their service and xempre the pictures were very okay, eto libre na ang advertising.. If you want them you can go to their site at Snapinabox..
