PD♥: Thankful for Everything..

I just wanted to share to you guys, the poem I wrote last March 2011 for my bestfriend, boyfriend, partner, brother, dad at times and the apple of my eye. It was our 4th year anniversary and I was so inspired na ginawa ko lang tong poem na toh during that very special day. As in naghanap lang ako ng mga words to rhyme so that it will somehow be read as a poem. I was so happy when I finished the series of words. My heart was really pounding (as in para akong aatakihin sa sobrang bilis nya) as I was so excited to type and share this poem of love.. In fairness, it earned 31 likes and 69 comments (sumakto pa talaga sa favorite no ko. chos!).. Nagfifeeling good writer. ahahaha.. And here it goes.. ♥♥♥

It started during our tertiary levels
When we crossed paths and exchanged looks.
From afar, I thought you're a complete stranger
Someone who's arrogant and doesn't read books.

It was a busy afternoon when you entered class.
You're late, went to our classmate and asked,
"May assignment ka na ba? Pakopya naman!"
I then whispered to my seatmate & said, "Kapal nya naman!"

It was our first encounter - a very bad one
I totally didn't want to share my answers, from then on.
When I always see you, I felt your rudeness
But I couldn't help but notice your cuteness.

You still have your long hair back then.
You always pair your outfit with a headband.
There's this one night, I saw you waiting for a bus.
I don't want to ride the bus with you so when it came, I let it passed.

I told the story to my friends and they teased me.
What if someday I will eat my words & they reminded me,
The famous statement, "The more you hate, the more you love."
And when I heard this, I couldn't help but sigh and stare above.

And came the night when you were again waiting for a bus.
I came with a friend and she introduced us.
As much as I don't want to, but I couldn't do anything
But I didn't knew that it will be the start of something.

From then on, we were always riding the same bus together.
Either with a friend or we just bumped and saw each other.
And a great relationship was then formed - one that is deeper
I told you my secrets and you were my adviser.

We were classmates and we always go home together
And came the time when we spend more time with each other.
In a basketball tournament, we started a dare,
If the CE team wins then a kiss, we'll share.

Thesis nights came and there were endless sleep overs
And emotions rushed and we can't already control what we feel.
We shared romantic moments and cherish every hour,
Every minute, every second, every cheesy encounters, we steal.

Love is in the air, two months before graduation.
Our hearts were trembling at the Mall of Asia extension.
I gave you my sweetest yes on the 24th of March when you asked me.
It was an unforgettable night and we were very happy.

We encountered problems in our four-years journey,
But we still managed to laugh at jokes even if they're corny.
Through tough and happy times, you are always there
And that's why I will stay and I'll always be here.

Happy fourth year anniversary, my one and only.
I will always be thankful for the love you gave me.
Always bare in mind, that it's only you
For GOD created me just to love people especially YOU.
