BTB: EWAF (Edge, Winners and Floaters)

After letting you know my family, I wanna introduce you also to my very close friends, actually college friends but turned out to be the group of friends na tightly glued to me.

As of this writing, we are already 18 in the group. 3 couples, 1 engaged, 6 single, 2 unavailable, 1 MOMOL (make-out make-out lang), 1 moving on and 1 available. In the world of technologies, thru relationship status na ang pagpapakilala ko sa kanila. You'll get to know them in more of my blogs so you can assess which of them fits the description. :)

EWAF is subdivided into three subgroups - Edge, Winners and Floaters. Our group started out when we were in our late sophomore / early junior college years. Actually, Edge and Winners palang meron nun. The Floaters came later already.


For our terms:

Edge - is the group's name composed of yours truly, Ethel, Dan, Carl, Shandz and Bernie. It originated year 2004 when everytime our professor tells us to group ourselves, kami2x na agad ang magkakasama sa group. It just differs when the maximum members in a group is lesser than 6, alphabetically arranged or hindi kami magkasection. Edge really started out as an expression of the group. If I'm not mistaken, si Dan ang pasimuno nito. Everytime we got the right answer or we got the highest grade in the class or even pinuri ka lang ng professor mo, we would normally say "Edge na naman.." with matching wave of the hand like tracing your jawline from left to right. From then on, we called our group Edge, simply because we believe na malakas kami sa professors dahil sa aming angking galing with matching diskarte.

Winners - is the second subgroup of EWAF composed of Gian, Daryl, Pol, Audi, Ryan and Jaypee. This group originated 2005 when same as ours, automatic na sila magkakasama during groupings. We got close during our junior years where start na ng taking up of major subjects and almost all batchmates with the same courses eh halos magkakakilala na and magkakasama sa isang class. Same organization, same professors and the reality part is kapag may homeworks and projects eh halos same rin (photocopy, OT, kopyahan, tambay sa library, overnight, name it, we tried all of those..). This group is not like ours na close to professors but they are very good. Sariling sikap sila pero magugulat ka nalang because they will have same scores like ours or higher pa. Take note, madiskarte ang mga ito especially the latter two members of the group.. (tumithree sixty degrees yan if not sure sa answers kahit during exams haha!!.. I told you, madiskarte..)

and of course..

Floaters - is the last subgroup formed which is composed of Restly, Marc, Chad, Carol and the 2 new members, Rascia and Alvin. The group just started out when we decided to go to EK and then Restly came with us. This was way back 2007 na ata. And then in another plant visit, Marc got close to us and then sumasama na rin and then Chad and Carol. We called them "Floaters" dahil pasulpot-sulpot lang sila nun sa mga outings and gala. Plus the two who are newly recruits of our group.

During our senior years where the members of the three subgroups always got to bond, magkakasama sa mga gala, got very close, we then decided to make it one and called it EWAF. And until today, after almost 9 years of forming the first group, we still get to bond and gather around when we have time or maybe someone from abroad goes for vacation or may special occassions like birthday, Christmas or New Year or simply have the biglaang lakad types. Most of the time, mas natutuloy ang lakad ng barkada kapag biglaan. I swear, most of our bondings were not prepared or scheduled and we would normally say, "Buti pa kapag biglaan, natutuloy!". Super gasgas na linya yan ng tropa.
