FB: Singapura Trip with the Future Family

Hi guys, sorry I've been busy for quite a while. After the Holy Week vacation, I got busy with a couple of things that I really had no time to blog. Good thing I am waiting for the approval of our client so here I got some time to write and publish this article. I've been itching to write about our Singapore trip pa naman.

The four-day vacation was sulit because they got to go to the famous tourist spots in Singapore - yun nga lang no budget for the USS na so we did not go in, instead, we opted for the night pass of the Sentosa.

The first international vacation of the family was really memorable. Apart from being their first country to visit, there were also series of incidents that they encountered before we got to spend the vacation without worries. First, Mama had been held by an immigration officer while in NAIA. The IO was asking for a document pertaining to her leave of absence during the entire vacation since she was a teacher and is considered as a government employee. Buti nalang pinagbigyan kami ng IO dahil hindi masaya kung hindi buo ang family. ;)

Malakas talaga si Mama kay Lord because they let her through. And here they were with smiles on their faces...

Soon after, another incident happened when they were claiming their checked-in baggage. They were already the last ones to leave the luggage claiming area waiting for Princess' bag containing her personal things pero wala talaga. After minutes of waiting, nothing came out so they went to the lost baggage counter and reported the missing luggage. Due to the incident, hindi na nasunod ang itinerary namin for that day but that did not stop us from enjoying the trip. After an hour of waiting, they were told that the airline staff will just call us when they found the lost bag so we hurriedly went to the hotel to get some rest. Nastress ang mga lolo at lola niyo.

We stayed at Mayo Inn and got three rooms. Me and Rhy on a standard room for S$100/night, Papa, Mama, Princess and Jay Ross on a family room for S$180/night and Mac, Kat and Xander on a deluxe room for S$110/night. The price were reasonable enough because they don't have a lift so we really need to exert some effort climbing those stairs. What I love about this budget hotel is its location, its spacious rooms, clean facilities and comfy bed. No doubt they are recommended by Tripadvisor as a best value hotel. Below is a picture of our room. Sorry I did not get the chance to take a shot of the other two rooms but I love the deluxe room because it's located on the ground floor. What's great on the deluxe room is that if you're tired from long walks all day, you don't need to take the stairs plus it's more spacious than the standard room.

The hotel was very near Bugis MRT. It's about 15 minutes walk so have your comfy shoes ready for long walks. What I love about Singapore is there are a lot of food choices, kung sanay ka na sa pagkaing Intsik - food junction at Bugis, steamboat buffets at the front of Bugis Junction and other fast food chains along the way. Here were some delicious pasta we ate..

Of course, the vacation was spent capturing these images at the Lion City's trademark - the Merlion...

And were amazed by the different modern architectural designs in the city...

And another day was spent wandering around the very big Sentosa where Resorts World and USS were located.

Then we ended the night watching the Songs of the Sea where many tourists were also there ready to be amazed of the lights, fire and water show.

And here were other photos which reflected that we really had a relaxed and fun vacation at Singapore.

Yes, namiss ako ni Rhy! Tingnan mo naman ang higpit ng hawak sakin sa pictures. Hahaha!!! And soon, we can have a cute kid like this one too.. ^_^

Til here! Tata! XO...
